Bala Modern Circle Stone Circle, Gwynedd
A modern stone circle at Bala, to commemorate the Eisteddfod, an event to promote Welsh culture. The controlling body, the Gorsedd, opens the Eisteddfod with a ceremony inside a circle of 12 stones (denoting the 12 former counties). The stone in the middle is the platform where the Archdruid commences the proceedings, and is called the Logan stone
