An unassuming little stonelet only a couple of feet high, this is 800 metres almost due north of the central stone at Callanish I. According to Ref 5, this would have been a striking sight, with Callanish I silhouetted against the horizon at the southernmost extreme of the moon's transit.
Unfortunately modern viewers are denied this sight by a collection of buildings and telegraph poles which get in the way, though not necessarily obscuring the moon sightline totally...
