I found this stone circle curiously difficult to find in the summer, despite its clear location the second time I looked for it. The circle is only a few tens of metres off the Froggatt Edge path, but Aubrey Burl states [30] it is often lost in bracken, so it may not always be as clear as this!
The National Trust path starts from a bend in the B6085 at SK254776 (there is space for a few cars to park at the roadside there) and continues for about 1/2 km, passing over a small stream (which may not always be visible) before passing through a fence via a kissing gate. The stone circle is about 200m from this point, on the right-hand side of the path (which can be seen in the background of the photo). Most of the stones are very low, with the exception of one rectangular stone slightly less than waist high.
